General PCC Clinic
Our general clinic offers a broad array of services to the Nebraska community, including individual therapy and psychological assessments.
Rainbow Clinic
The Rainbow Clinic, currently directed by Dr. Debra Hope, is an outreach program for the LGBTQIA+ community to provide individual and couples therapy. It also contributes to knowledge about diversity issues in clinical psychology, with a particular focus on psychological needs of the LGBTQIA+ community. The Rainbow Clinic has also partnered with OutLinc, Lincoln's GLBT Community Center, to help bring awareness of mental health services within the area and extend the outreach of the clinic's services.
Trauma Recovery Clinic
The Trauma Recovery Clinic (TRC), currently directed by Dr. Peter Meidlinger, provides psychological services for people who are experiencing traumatic stress or post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) following any type of traumatic event, including sexual assault, intimate partner violence, accidents, disasters, physical assault or other crimes, and violence based on sexual orientation, gender identity, or race. TRC clinicians use evidence based, cognitive behavioral treatment approaches.
Neuropsychological Assessment Clinic
The Neuropsychological Assessment Clinic (NPAC), currently directed by Dr. Kathy Chiou, offers neuropsychological evaluation services for individuals with neurological injuries or disorders (for example, traumatic brain injury, stroke, dementia, attention deficit disorder, and others). Evaluations assess multiple areas of cognitive (mental thinking) function and may help to provide diagnostic clarification, establish current status of cognitive functioning, and recommendations for further care.
Substance Abuse Clinic
The Substance Abuse Clinic (SAC), currently directed by Dr. Dennis McChargue, treats a variety of individuals with primary substance use problems. SAC provides individual therapy, which is tailored to the client's specific needs and focuses on both abstinence-based and harm reduction approaches. We also focus on mental health that contributes to substance use challenges. We take a holistic approach that is individualized to the person’s goals and motivation.
Family Interaction Skills Clinic
The Family Interaction Skills Clinic (FISC) offers mental health consultation and services for children, adolescents, and their families through collaborative partnerships with community agencies.
At BraveBe Child Advocacy Center, Project SAFE supports individual and group services to youth who have experienced sexual abuse and their non-offending family members. Clinical research efforts evaluate the Project SAFE program and examine the factors that influence the heterogeneous symptom presentation of children and adolescents who experience sexual abuse. Dr. David Hansen provides supervision and leadership for FISC activities.
